Online procedure via CAMPUSonline

(concerns Business Administration & Engineering (B.Sc.))

The application period for the summer semester 2024 is from 15 October 2022 - 15 January 2024 (inbox).

General Information

  • Enrolment may be conducted by a third party authorised in writing to do so.

Special cases

  • Do you have a higher education entrance qualification from the United Kingdom/Ireland or an International Baccalaureate diploma?
    Please submit your application by 15 January 2024 and submit evidence of a higher education entrance qualification via a tentative notice of grade equivalency provided by the Bavarian Office for the Recognition of Foreign Credentials(Deadline will be given to you in the application process).

  • Applicants with professional qualifications:
    Applying for admission to programmes with an aptitude assessment process or programmes with restricted admission is only possible once you have received your general higher education entrance approval, i.e. once your documents have been processed. Sign up early for an advising session to ensure that your higher education entrance approval can be granted by the application deadline. Further information can be found here.

Application procedure

Applications for the above-mentioned programmes are submitted via CAMPUSonline. The application process takes about 15 minutes in total. Click on the link below to go to the CAMPUSonline main page.

Summary of the most important steps:

  • Set up a user account. Students who are already enrolled at the University of Bayreuth should use their current student account to apply via CAMPUSonline. Former students can use their student account for up to 6 months following de-registration. After this period the account will be deactivated.  In this case, please create a new user account and forward the e-mail received via CAMPUSonline with the registration code as described.
  • Complete your application for the chosen programme of study.
  • Then upload your documents. You can do this during application entry or afterwards in Self-Service. The following documents are required:
  • higher education entrance qualification
  • statement of purpose (Business Administration & Engineering)
  • CV
  • any evidence of additional subject-specific qualifications

Please note: Deadline: Your application must reach the University of Bayreuth online by midnight of 15 January 2024 The documents must also be uploaded by 15. January 2024, midnight. The application can only be processed if the documents have been received by the University of Bayreuth by the deadline.
If the allowed document size is exceeded, the following portals can be used to upload the documents

  • The Self-Service section of CAMPUSonline provides information on the status of your application. If anything is unclear, you will be contacted by e-mail. Please check your e-mails regularly during this time (including your spam folder).
  • Following the aptitude assessment process, you will receive an e-mail notifying you of the outcome. At the same time, a printout of your letter of acceptance or rejection will be made available for download via the Self-Service" section of CAMPUSonline.

Enrolment

(applies to all degree programmes with aptitude assessment procedures)

If you are granted admission, a letter of admission will be made available as a download via CAMPUSonline. Once you accept your offer of admission, an application for enrolment will be generated automatically.

  • You will your application for enrolment in the Self-Service section of CAMPUSonline. Please print it out and send it with the required documents (see last page of the enrolment application) by post to the address printed on it by 12 April 2024 at the latest. 

  • Please also note the information on proof of health insurance cover for students (see No. 1).

  • If all documents are submitted in full and on time, you will be enrolled at the University of Bayreuth. If there is a problem with your documents, it will be displayed in the "self-service" section. Please check there regularly.

  • Once you have enrolled successfully, you will receive an e-mail containing all the information for your student account (user name and PIN). You will then be able to print out a certificate of enrolment.

  • Your campus card will be sent to you by post.

  • All further information for your studies can be found on the information page for first-year students (please read through in detail in your own interest!).

If it is discovered that you were granted admission on the basis of false statements in your application, you will not be able to enrol.
