Click here to start your CAMPUSOnline application.

The application must be received online by the University of Bayreuth by 15.07.2024, 11:59 p.m. Documents (if necessary) must also be uploaded by 15.07.2024, 11:59 p.m. The application can only be processed if the documents have been received by the University of Bayreuth by the deadline.

Most important steps:

  • Register with Hochschulstart.de. If you have any questions about Hochschulstart.de, please contact Hochschulstart.de directly.

  • Once you have received an applicant ID and a BAN, create an applicant account in CAMPUSOnline:
    • Students already enrolled at the University of Bayreuth will use their existing student account in CAMPUSOnline to apply.
    • Former students can still use their student account up to 6 months after withdrawal. After this time, the account will be deactivated. If that is the case, please create a new applicant account and forward the e-mail to studierendenkanzlei@uni-bayreuth.de received via CAMPUSOnline to the Student Administration Office with the registration code as described.
  • Complete the application via CAMPUSOnline. Please do not apply unitl your higher education entrance qualification (A-levels or Abitur grade) has been officially confirmed.

  • Once you have sent the application and you are not asked to upload any documents, you will automatically take part in the admission procedure.

  • If you are asked to upload documents, please do so afterwards. You can upload documents while entering your application in CAMPUSOnline or afterwards in "Application status". If the allowed document size is exceeded, you can upload the pdf-size via the following portals http://www.ilovepdf.com/compress_pdf and https://en.pdf24.org/ to adjust the pdf size.

  • For the following applications, documents must be submitted by upload by 15 July 2024:

    • When applying with a higher education entrance qualification obtained outside Germany (not dependent on nationality)
    • When claiming to be a person of public interest (top athletes)
    • Higher education entrance as a qualified professional
    • Applicants for a second undergraduate degree
    • When claiming preferential admission or exceptional hardship or compensation for disadvantages
    • When claiming to meet the requirements for grad improvement (additional information)

  • You can check the status of your application at any time using CAMPUSOnline "Application status". If we have any questions, we will also contact you by e-mail. Please check the "Application status" as well as your e-mails (including your spam folder) regularly.

  • Once the admission process has been completed, you will receive an e-mail notifying you of the outcome. From that point on, your admission letter will be available for download in "Application status". Please note the instructions for enrolment on your letter of admission.

Enrolment

The dialogue-oriented service procedure ensures that you will receive an admission offer in the event of admission. If you accept this offer, it is converted into an admission. A admission letter is then available for download via CAMPUSOnline. Please make sure you observe the enrolment deadline specified on the admission letter. The acceptance of the study place with hochschulstart.de is not sufficient. The study place is only safe, if the enrolment takes place.

  • Once you have accepted the offer of admission, you can download the application for enrolment in CAMPUSonline. Please print it out and send it by post to the University of Bayreuth together with the required documents by the enrolment deadline specified. You will find the address on the top left of the first page of the enrolment application. The documents to be submitted can be found in CAMPUSOnline, as well as on the last page of the enrolment application.

  • Please also take note of the informations regarding proof of helath insurance coverage for students (see no. 1).

  • If all documents have been submitted completely and on time, you will be enrolled at the University of Bayreuth. In case of incomplete or incorrect documents, we will make a note of this in your "Application status". Please check that section regularly.

  • Once you are enrolled, you will receive an e-mail with the necessary data for your student account (user ID and PIN code). There you can download out your certificate of enrolment by yourself.

  • You will receive your student ID card.

  • You will find additional information for your studies on the information page for first-year students.

  • If, upon examination of the documents, it is established that admission was granted on the basis of incorrect application data, enrolment will not be possible.
